Can I submit my January return now?
YES!

Latest update regarding the January Return?

You can submit directly from the current Adaski TaRMS export to TaRMS

Zimra have re-introduced the old P2 form via the same TaRMS system and added the additional requirement of uploading the information as a separate attachment.

When is my January return due?
It is currently due Monday 26 February 2024 as per Public Notice 14.

How Do I Submit?
You will need to:
  1. Download the latest Adaski version (anything later than 7.8.3.11),
  2. Produce an export for your january period (non-monthly payrolls should export over a range of periods),
    • You can find the export by going to Payrun -> TaRMS Return,
  3. Log-in to your Zimra employer TaRMS profile and find your PAYE Return,
    • Click tax return management, pending tax returns, and then January PAYE return should show in the outstanding list,
  4. [If necessary] Collate the export of multiple datafiles manually via excel to save as 1 file,
  5. Fill out the form:
    • Select your currency (choose between ZWL, USD, or ZWL/USD,)
    • Enter your PAYE/Aids levy amounts aquired from Adaski (as you have always done before),
    • Attach the merged TaRMS file that you had just saved,
  6. Attach any other documentation you feel necessary/relevant (PoPs etc.),
  7. Click Submit.
I have multiple datafiles all under one company, what do I do?
The data must be collated and submitted at the same time. You can run multiple TaRMS exports on each datafile and manually move all the information to one file.We have raised with Zimra the obvious serious issue regarding security and sensitivity, however receieved no further advice for now - I hope this will be recified for future uploads.

My payroll is weekly, what do I do?
You must use the export program to select the multiple periods that have a payroll date in January.

Do my employees need TIN numbers?

At the moment, it looks like they do not for the January Return.

Will ZIMRA bring back the new system?
FYI, Zimra have released Public Notice 16 early saturday morning (also attached below) suspending the new TaRMS form for this upcoming January return.  We hope this will remain true until all the problems on the system have been resolved.
Our current belief is that this will be back within the next 2-6 months, at which stage TIN numbers will be necessary.  We hope to work with ZIMRA to make sure that all security, sensitivity and calculation issues are addressed by then so that the system works seemlessly.

What does the PAYE template look like?
