The latest news out of NEC Agriculture is a new base minimum wage as well as a mandated split of that wage in a 40% USD /60% ZWL ratio. The ZWL amounts are to be calculated by taking the applicable ZWL component value due to the employee and converting it at the interbank rate prevailing on the 20th of the month the remuneration is due to the employee. This is how the minimum wage schedule is to work for the rest of the year.

Updating Grades Tables
These should be updated automatically if the "Use Program Rates" flag is set to Yes. You can check this by
- Go to Set Up Files ➡ Grade
- Change "Use Program Rates" to yes.
Adding Automatic Allowances
Currently we recommend getting in touch with one of our support agents to set up the automatic allowances properly.
Changing from a single currency (ZWL) to a multicurrency payroll
- Go to Set Up Files➡Company Set Up➡Currency Flags
- Set Payment Currency to USD
- Usd only in selected payments NO
- Accumulate tax free Bonus from start of year YES
- List the allowances and Deductions you have used in ZWL. NB You will not be using these same allowance codes for USD payments as they have been used on ZWL amounts. Do not change their set up to pay in USD. This impacts the tax calculation in a major way.
- Take on new allowances and Deductions codes for USD
- Remember to set the Interbank rate in Start of Pay.
- Capture the USD allowance and Deductions to replace the RTGS ones.
- Only Overtime and leave codes will maintain the old codes.
